Role Overview:
Title: Senior General Physician — AI-Paired Telemedicine
Location: Bengaluru · On-site · Full-time
Reports to: Medical Director / Cofounder
Hours: 9am–6pm, 5.5 days/week
About the Organization:
We are building an AI-led health companion that understands members over time, remembers their health history, reasons through medical situations, and brings in expert doctors when needed. The company is well-funded by prominent founders, physicians, and venture capital firms.
The Role:
You will serve as a senior first-contact physician for individuals and families across the platform. You will deliver care through text, voice, and video while actively contributing to the clinical protocols, evaluation datasets, and safety guardrails behind our everyday healthcare experience.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver teleconsultations for common acute, preventive, and ongoing health concerns
Take ownership of the patient journey from first contact through follow-up or referral
Assess symptoms, interpret reports and medications, and provide clear next steps
Identify red flags and escalate patients for emergency, specialist, or in-person care
Own consultation quality, documentation, response times, and follow-up standards
Build practical protocols for triage, prescribing, investigations, escalation, and safety-netting
Create clinical evaluations and test cases based on common primary-care presentations
Write medically correct prompts, decision rules, and evidence-based content for our AI systems
Review AI-generated outputs for missed red flags, unsafe advice, and unnecessary treatment
Mentor junior doctors and support clinical audits and case reviews
What We’re Looking For:
MBBS from a recognised institution
At least 10 years of clinical practice, preferably serving individuals and families in metro cities
Substantial experience in outpatient or family practice
Strong judgement across common adult, adolescent, and everyday family-health concerns
Sound understanding of what can be managed remotely and what requires physical evaluation
Rational prescribing without reflexive antibiotics, steroids, injections, supplements, or unnecessary investigations
Active Karnataka Medical Council registration, or ability to obtain it
Strong written documentation and patient communication skills
Comfort using AI tools and working with product and engineering teams
Fluent English; conversational Kannada or Hindi
Good to Have:
Experience in telemedicine, health-tech, or digital health
Experience managing a clinic, team, rota, or clinical programme
Experience creating protocols, conducting audits, or mentoring doctors
Additional training in family medicine, emergency medicine, diabetes, or preventive care
